ALL4BXL

(Tous pour BXL / Iedereen voor BXL)

In the context of the Belgian communal elections taking place on the 13th of October 2024, Stand Up for Europe has identified the lack of engagement and information provided to the international community of Brussels as a major problem. Being the most international city in Europe, certain communes of Brussels (e.g. Ixelles, Etterbeek) have over 50% of their registered residents non-Belgians. However, EU citizens and other nationals who have been residing in the city for at least 5 consecutive years have the right to vote in the local elections.

With the support of the local authorities of the Brussels Capital Region, we have developed the project ALL4BXL (Tous pour BXL / Iedereen voor BXL) aiming to reach out to the expats residing in the 19 communes part of the Brussels Area through interactive and meaningful activities.

Make Your Vote! Project

The Make Your Vote! project aims to raise awareness of the common EU values and encourage the participation of young people and first-time voters in Europe’s democratic life. The project’s foreseen activities will promote a bottom-up approach and invite young people and citizens to take part in activities and debates concerning the future of the European project.

Climate of Change

The End Climate Change, Start Climate of Change project is co-funded by the European Commission under the DEAR (Development Education and Awareness Raising) programme and aims to develop awareness and critical understanding among young EU citizens of climate change-induced migration as one of the greatest challenges of the globalised world. The project is led by WeWorld – GVC, an Italian non-profit organisation, and implemented by 15 partners in 13 countries, including the European Association for Local Democracy (ALDA) and Stand Up for Europe (SUFE)
